Palatine Park District presents annual Canine Carnival Aug. 2

Annual event for dogs and owners will be held Aug. 2 at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater

The Palatine Park District presents its annual Canine Carnival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine. This special event is a carnival designed just for dogs and their owners.

All dogs must be leashed and accompanied by a handler, age 16 and older. Dogs must be wearing a current rabies tag to participate. Preregistration is required and is available online at palatineparks.org using program number 6727-2. Registration can also be completed by mail or in person at Community Center, Falcon Park or Birchwood. The fee is $8 per dog with a handler and includes a goody bag for all participants.

This year’s event will feature new games and activities for dogs, raffles, a free photo of you and your pet, and much more. In addition to these activities sponsored by Palatine Park District, a wide variety of vendors will be on-site to share canine information and their love of dogs. This year’s gold-level sponsors include: A Closer Bond Dog Training, Baxter and Beasley Doggie Day Care, Biscuits & Bows, Daily Herald Media Group, Doggie Playhouse, Jimminy Clippers, Loving Care Animal Clinic, Puppy Love Pet Care, Rand Road Animal Hospital and The Grooming Spa.
