Coolidge shares concerns about future
I recently met Leslie Coolidge, candidate for Congress in the 6th District, and was impressed by her intelligence, her experience in business and her broad grasp of the issues facing the nation. As a CPA and retired partner of an international accounting firm, she’s someone who understands our neighbors’ concerns about the future, both in the near months and years ahead, and wants to enable our long-term ability to sustain our values and standards of living for our children and grandchildren.
She understands that we choose to live in our communities because we value education and social services that allow Americans to care for their families and share with their neighbors. She is an environmentalist who believes the very wealthy need to pay their fair share of taxes.
Her Republican opponent, radical right-wing incumbent, Peter Roskam, votes almost entirely like his Tea Party colleague, Joe Walsh, and both of them are part of Congress’ War on Women. We have an unprecedented opportunity to elect a smart woman who will defend women’s equal rights. Let’s send Coolidge to Congress and stop playing politics with our nation’s finances.
