Documentary 'The Invisible War' to be shown Aug. 10

Several organizations in the Northwest suburbs are hosting a screening of the new, award-winning documentary "The Invisible War" at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 at the Arlington Heights Public Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave.

The groundbreaking investigative documentary reveals the epidemic of rape within the U.S. military.

Within days of seeing the film in April, Secretary of Defense Leon Paneta announced a crucial change in the way in which reported rapes will be investigated in the military - and he told one of the film's producers that the film was partly responsible for his decision.

This event is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted.
