Miss Addison crowned this week

Blessing Steele, a 2011 graduate of Addison Trail High School, won the Miss Addison pageant this week.

Now a sophomore at Elmhurst College, where she is majoring in political science with a concentration in international law, she will receive a $2,000 scholarship for her studies.

Dominique Longo, a 2012 Addison Trail grad, was first-runner up and won a $1,000 scholarship. She will attend the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa.

Second runner-up is Hayley Ciosek, also a 2012 Addison Trail grad. She will use her $500 scholarship at Indiana University.

The other four contestants also were from Addison Trail: Cassandra Crifase and Giangela Stokes, class of 2013; and Mackenzie Kummer and Sara Tomasello, class of 2012.

Miss Addison represents the village at local events such as the Mayor's Community Charity Ball and the annual tree-lighting ceremony.
