Editorial on gay marriage was shameful

I’m writing referring to the editorial of July 2. It saddens me to even have to write about it, but I feel I have to speak my view — or maybe you think you have it right. I feel you could not be more wrong. I’m not going to go into a big analysis of what I’d like to say. But your motto by H.C. Paddock, your aim to fear God — how can you go against the Bible? I usually just say the parts don’t fit. God made us as humans to be a man and a woman and to fill the earth. Period.

I see the breakup of the family as a travesty to our nation. Boy, if we think we have problems now, our young people are really going to be messed up. Listen, I’m not against gays. But I’m definitely against gay marriage, period. God created humans, and if they choose that way of life, fine, but leave the rest of us out of it.

I truly am going to discontinue my paper if I have to open it up and read any more. Shame on you.

Our young people need to have good role models and, yes, I believe the government should get out of the role of being in our homes on other issues as well — such as what we eat and drink.
