French Market delays opening

The Vernon Hills French Market has delayed opening until summer 2013. The operator, Bensidoun USA, said Thursday that it made that decision because of severe weather this season, the fact that Vernon Hills is the furthest north location in the region and the desire to secure more vendors. The markets operate in several communities and feature fruits and vegetables and other products, as well as offerings from local restaurants and crafts. Vernon Hills has a three-year contract with Bensidoun with a five-year renewal possible. The market is scheduled to operate in the parking lot of the Metra station on Route 45.
