Lombard Park District Commissioners Recognized for Their Collaboration with the Garden Club
At the Tuesday, July 24 Lombard Park District Public Comment Period, the Lombard Garden Club’s Conservation and Environmental Chairman, Lonnie Morris, presented each commissioner with a copy of Doug Tallamy’s book titled, “Bringing Nature Home.” These books were a a gesture of appreciation highlighting the excellent relationship between the Garden Club and Park District.
The Park District and Garden Club have worked together in the restoration of wetland and prairie at Terrace View Park as well as sharing a committment to native landscaping. He is scheduled to appear in Bollingbrook, Illinois on October 20. It is a free event, including continental breakfast and sponsored by Wild Ones DuPage Chapter, Sierra Club, Conservation Foundation, DuPage Forest Preserve, Will County Forest Preserve and Illinois Native Plant Society.
