Tee off to aid Schaumburg Park Foundation

Spend a day on the tees competing for your name on the coveted Links Cup, cash and other prizes.

The fifth annual Links Technology Cup golf outing benefiting the Schaumburg Park Foundation will take place Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 N. Roselle Road, in Schaumburg.

The golf outing, beginning with check-in at 9:30 a.m., includes lunch on the course with “Taste on the Tee,” a showcase of food and beverages from local restaurants at every other hole; the Daily Herald Closest-to-the-Pin Shootout and Woodfield Putt-of-the-Day contests; and a barbecue dinner and open bar from 3-6 p.m. provided by John Barleycorn.

The $150 entry per golfer includes practice range warm-up, 11 a.m. shotgun start in a scramble format, 18 holes of golf with cart, contests, prizes and food.

Registration is now available. To enter, register in person at Schaumburg Golf Club or fill out the registration form online at www.schaumburggolf.com and return with payment to: Schaumburg Park District, Attention: Kippy Shadel, 235 E. Beech Drive, Schaumburg, IL 60193. Payment must be received at time of registration.
