Golf outing benefits District 21 Family Learning Program

On Wednesday, Aug. 8, Wheeling Park District and School District 21 will host the Family Learning Program Benefit Golf Outing at Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling.

Check-in starts at 11 a.m. and golf begins at noon with a shotgun start. Dinner, raffle drawings and a silent auction are also part of this charity event that raises funds for the Family Learning Program.

Spots are still available, but are going fast. Registration is $95 per person, which includes dinner. Sponsor options are available starting at $150. For information or to register, call (847) 465-3333.

The Family Learning Program was started in 2003 as a partnership between Wheeling Park District and School District 21. This unique initiative provides educational life skills to parents of second language families in School District 21 while their children enjoy supervised recreation activities.
