Walsh simply doesn’t respect Duckworth

Not only was I appalled when I heard what Joe Walsh said about Tammy Duckworth not being a true hero but also when The Daily Herald says it’s gotcha politics by both parties.

The Herald asks: “Does Joe Walsh lack respect for servicemen and women?” I think he does. It seems that Joe Walsh can’t run against Ms. Duckworth’s service to her country, so he belittles her. His comments: “What else has she done? Female, wounded veteran ... EHHH.” Would he say that to Sen. McCain or other service personnel who protected our country? Does he respect women and family by not paying child support to his first family until it went to court or on his voting record?

The Herald saying that “Walsh should acknowledge that he ought to have been more precise with his wording” is outrageous. He was very precise and needs to stop putting down her years of service to her country (in the Army and with the VA) and for being a women. He also needs to remember when he signs his letters with “I work for you” that he was elected to serve the entire 8th District, not only himself and the Tea Party.

I have read Ms. Duckworth’s and Joe Walsh’s stands on issues and I agree that these need to be debated so people can see who they want representing them in Congress: A war hero or a disparate candidate running for re-election.
