Illinois tourism show at Schaumburg Boomers stadium

The Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau will host Illinois Office of Tourism Deputy Director Jan Kostner and her colleagues at the 2012 Illinois Road Show to be held at Schaumburg Stadium, home of the Schaumburg Boomers, at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 26.

Kostner will present the latest visitor and economic impact numbers and the statewide tourism initiatives intended to promote travel to the state of Illinois. Much of the focus will be on what the Illinois travel industry is doing to stimulate tourism with its promotions and partnerships.

Visitors can learn how the IOT promotions aim to drive more consumers to the Chicago Northwest region. The Boomers staff will be available for tours of the stadium after the Office of Tourism presentation. Refreshments will be served.
