Hanover Twp. partners to hold Senior Police Academy

To help educate senior citizens about potential threats and the criminal process, state Rep. Fred Crespo, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart and Hanover Township are partnering to hold a Senior Police Academy.

The free, six-week program will meet at 10 a.m. every Thursday beginning July 26 and end Aug. 30 with a graduation ceremony and reception. Classes take place at the Hanover Township Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59, Bartlett. Topics range from understanding scams targeted at seniors to the functions of the Cook County jail and court system.
