Purdue taking applications for disabled vets class

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management is accepting applications for its next class of the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities.

Krannert is one of eight schools around the country that teach the boot camp aimed at helping post-9/11 disabled veterans start their own businesses. It teaches principles of entrepreneurship and small-business management. All expenses are paid.

The program begins with veterans completing courses through online discussions. That’s followed by a seven-day on-campus session where veterans learn to develop their own business concepts and understand the basic elements of small-business management. A yearlong mentoring program follows.

Applicants are judged on the quality of proposals for starting their own businesses.
