Schaumburg District 54 appoints new principals

Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 has appointed three new principals and four new assistant principals for the upcoming school year.

Quinn Wulbecker will be the principal at Link Elementary School in Elk Grove Village after serving as the assistant principal at Link and Nerge elementary schools. He taught at Campanelli and Dooley elementary schools prior to becoming an administrator.

Scott Ross is the new principal at Frost Junior High School. He previously worked as a school social worker at John Muir Literacy Academy and as assistant principal at Eisenhower and Mead junior high schools.

Maribeth Kanoon will be principal at Einstein Elementary School in Hanover Park. She previously was the assistant principal at Armstrong Elementary School, and also taught at Mead Junior High and Armstrong, Campanelli, Collins and Stevenson elementary schools.

This month the District 54 board of education appointed three new assistant principals: James Schwartz at Keller Junior High School; Julie Tarasiuk, Lakeview Elementary School; and Brandon Todd, Eisenhower Junior High School. They join Vernessa Stepney, who previously was appointed as a new assistant principal at Campanelli and Fox elementary schools.

Several other assistant principals will be changing schools for the new academic year.

Heather Wilson moved to Wulbecker’s previous positions, and Brian Kaszewicz moved to Wilson’s job as Frost Junior High’s assistant principal. Korrie McCarry transferred from Lakeview Elementary to Kanoon’s previous position. Nell Haack is moving from Aldrin to Einstein elementary schools, and Maribel Taboada is moving from Einstein to Aldrin and Hanover Highlands.
