Lombard House Walk a huge success

Lombard House Walk a huge success

The Kiwanis Club of Lombard wishes to thank the many people who made our 8th annual “Over the Threshold” tour of distinctive Lombard homes a great success.

We owe a big thank you to the homeowners: Richard and Rita Schneider, Steve and Jennifer VanDam, Timothy and Denise Angst and City View at the Highlands. They gave up their homes for an entire day, and shared their distinctive history, architecture and design with all of us. This is the cornerstone of our event, and could not have done it without them.

The Kiwanis House Walk proceeds helps to change the world one child, one

community at a time. There are many sponsors whose support is vital to this event.

We want to thank all of the individuals, businesses and underwriters who donated printing material, prizes, expertise, time, manpower, money and talent to make the House Walk possible. To all of them we offer our sincerest thanks.

We would also like to recognize the work that the members of the Kiwanis Club of Lombard and the many volunteers who came together to make this event a success.

The House Walk committee has invested hundreds of hours over the past 10 months. Every detail of the event, was planned and executed by our dedicated volunteers.

And finally, we owe our thanks to the Village of Lombard. We hosted this event for you, both as a celebration of the history and beauty of Lombard, and as a tool for us to raise funds to support the many charities and organizations that help make this a great place to live. Hope you will join us for our next year’s House Walk, May 17, 2013.
