American Utility Management names chief operating officer

Lombard-based American Utility Management has appointed Joseph R. Stackhouse Chief Operating Officer.

Stackhouse will oversee all daily operations regarding resident services, invoice processing, new client implementation, customer service, and all of their surrounding supporting services.

“AUM has seen unprecedented growth over the last year, due in large part to our commitment to our customers.  Joe was instrumental in developing our customer-centric culture,” says Michael Miller, president and CEO of AUM. “As we continue to grow, Joe’s previous experience in companies with large customer bases will be critical to our continued success. This will enable AUM to deliver a better energy and utility management product for our clients.”

Stackhouse’s background includes over 20 years of managing the end-to-end customer experience, and includes expertise in call center operations, service delivery, customer management systems, sales and full P&L management. Prior to joining AUM, he was a senior vice president, customer operations at Charter Communications. He was responsible for the customer experience of over 5 million residential and commercial voice, video and data customers, generating over $6 billion in annual revenue. Other previous roles included senior vice president at Comcast Corporation, and senior vice president at AT&T Broadband.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University.
