Wheeling Park District hosts charity golf outing

The Wheeling Park District and Wheeling Township Elementary District 21 will host the Family Learning Program Benefit Golf Outing at Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling on Wednesday, Aug. 8.

Check-in starts at 11 a.m. and golf begins at noon with a shotgun start. Dinner, raffle drawings and a silent auction are also part of this charity event that raises funds for the Family Learning Program.

The program was started in 2003 as a partnership between the park district and District 21. The program provides educational life skills to parents of second-language families while their children enjoy supervised recreation activities.

Spots are still available for the golf outing, but are going fast. Registration is $95 per person and includes dinner. Sponsor options are available starting at $150. For more information, or to register, call (847) 465-3333. For more information on the Family Learning Program, visit www.wheelingparkdistrict.com/family-learning.htm.
