Hanover Twp. offers energy bill assistance
Qualifying Hanover Township residents can seek financial assistance with summer electricity bills through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
The program, which provides a $150 payment to electric providers, is targeted to households with seniors age 60 or older, people with disabilities receiving Social Security benefits, families with children younger than 5 years and people with medical conditions aggravated by extreme heat.
Residents can apply from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Friday, July 27, or until funds run out, at the Hanover Township Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59, Bartlett.
Assistance is first-come, first-serve.
