Tickets for the event will go on sale to the public on Oct. 1. Season ticket holders for the four teams and the Bears will have an opportunity to purchase tickets before that date, and those tickets will be offered through the respective teams.

The event will be preceeded by two weeks of events at the rink at Soldier Field, including two days of free public ice skating and youth, high school and adult hockey games.

The four programs participating have a combined 36 Frozen Four appearances and 11 national titles between them, with each team reaching the Frozen Four once in the last three years. Of the four, only Wisconsin has played an outdoor game in the modern era.

To receive information about the games and the free public skate as they become available, fans can sign up for updates at HockeyCityClassic.com or on the game's Facebook and Twitter pages.
