Feds raid motorcycle gang clubhouses in Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS — Federal agents have raided several sites used by the Outlaws motorcycle gang in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne.
Those raids Wednesday morning included an Outlaws clubhouse in Fort Wayne. The Journal Gazette reports FBI agents boxed up evidence and searched the building with a dog.
FBI spokesman Drew Northern tells The Associated Press that agents also raided locations in Indianapolis as part of a “takedown” involving the Outlaws. He says court documents are sealed and he couldn’t comment further.
U.S. attorney’s office spokesman Tim Horty says a news conference will be held in Indianapolis Wednesday afternoon.
Last year, a federal judge in Virginia sentenced the Outlaws national president to 20 years in prison on racketeering charges related to a violent turf war with the rival Hells Angels.
