Libertyville to videotape meetings

Video recordings of Libertyville village board meetings will be made available for viewing on the village website. The board voted 5-0 Tuesday spend $1,000 on a camera to record the meetings and make them available later online. As envisioned, a fixed camera will be mounted on the back wall of the board room at village hall with an audio feed to connect with the existing system. That work, valued at $1,000, will be donated. The feature has been discussed for some time and recently was recommended for approval by the board’s special projects committee, chaired by Trustee Jim Moran, who has advocated for website and other upgrades. Audio of meetings has been available for several months but it has not been determined when the video would be added.
