Gallagher acquires Contego Underwriting Ltd

Itasca-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired Contego Underwriting Ltd, of London, England.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Contego Underwriting Ltd is an underwriting agency that specializes in underwriting products for the construction and engineering industries. They have clients in over 50 countries with a particular focus on Latin America and Australia. Charles Parmenter and his associates will continue to operate out of their current Fenchurch Avenue location under the direction of Sian Fisher, Managing Director of OIM Underwriting Ltd, Gallagher’s London-based managing general agent.
