More slots wouldn’t hurt state’s image

Once again a gambling bill has been put together and approved. What is Gov. Quinn waiting for? He is concerned that the state of Illinois will become a Midwest Las Vegas; he doesn’t want anymore gambling in this state? Let’s see, Illinois has a number of daily lottery games available, many casinos, horse racing, two national lotteries, OTBs and now video poker, if cities or townships want them. It seems to me that there is plenty of gambling in Illinois. So, Gov. Quinn, what would a few more casinos or slots be at the horse racing venues? I think Illinois is already a Midwest Las Vegas, and nothing is wrong with that. So, Governor, get your pen out and sign this bill and let’s move forward.
