United crew made delay bearable

On July 1, we boarded United Airlines flight 3785 out of Dallas, Texas, destination Chicago O’Hare. Approximately one hour from our destination, the plane was diverted to Indianapolis due to a severe storm shutting down O’Hare.

United Airlines responded in the utmost fashion. Once we arrived at Indianapolis, we sat on the plane for about an hour and were offered water within a few minutes. The crew on our flight was outstanding. The crew kept us informed regarding conversations between United personnel and the pilot throughout the ordeal. Keeping passengers informed was truly an important effort on the part of United Airlines.

United personnel decided to allow the passengers to disembark the plane to stretch our legs, use restrooms and grab something to eat. We were back on the plane short of an hour and were in the air shortly thereafter. We experienced a three-hour layover, which was amazing considering a staff shortage due to the weekend.

Kudos to United Airlines.
