Tea party is far from dead

June 5 saw Wisconsin voters overwhelmingly crush an $18 million recall referendum bent upon destroying a principled governor in an awesome display of the omnipotence of the ballot box. It seems the leftist-media portrayal of the Tea Party’s untimely demise had been grossly exaggerated.

Witness the June 28 Supreme Court ruling fabricating new taxing authority for an already obscenely overweight federal leviathan, destined to wreck the world’s best health care system in favor of socialized medicine. Remember the arbitrary fiat from one black-robed elder exposing the worst in judicial activism.

Enter July 4, America’s Independence Day, celebrating the Founders’ mutual pledge of their lives, fortunes and sacred honor, summarily casting off an overbearing government fraught with arrogant bureaucracy and abject despotism. Mr. Jefferson cautioned that frequently liberty’s flame would demand the reaffirmation of self-reliance with limitless opportunity for every law-abiding American cultivated by the sweat and toil of devoted patriots.

Big government tyranny, cleverly disguised as compassionate liberalism, has most certainly “awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.” To you liberal, tax and spend career politicians we offer this heartfelt tweet: Read the “tea” leaves dudes; you’re going down hard in November.
