"We're not interested in blanket bans. We're not interested in any way in limiting people's 2nd Amendment right to carry firearms in their own interest," said House Speaker Becky Lockhart (R-Provo).

Fishing update:

On the Chain: Excellent bluegill angling on Petite and Channel lakes. Muskies are cooperating on Lake Catherine, but there aren't many fishermen on the water to locate the fish.

Fox River: Water levels considerably down. Some wading anglers search out whatever deeper holes they can find and locate channel catfish and smallmouth in the Batavia area.

Lake Michigan: Salmon fishing is great, says David S., who launches out of Highland Park. Much of the better angling is close to the Wisconsin state line.
