Household chemical waste collection
The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will host a household chemical waste collection from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at Deerfield High School, 1959 N. Waukegan Road. The event is open to Illinois residents only. Accepted materials include aerosol products, antifreeze and motor oil, fertilizers, pesticides, furniture stripper and varnishes. Latex paint, business waste, propane tanks, household electronics and other items are not accepted. Visit www.swalco.org for a general list or call (847) 336-9340.
