Donate food at Hoffman Fourth of July parade

Although the “Northwest Fourth-Fest” Fourth of July celebration has relocated from the village hall to its new location at the Sears Centre Arena, the 2012 Hoffman Estates Fourth of July parade will still be on Hassell Road, right in the heart of the village.

The parade will be at 9 a.m. on Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4. This year’s parade theme is “On the Wings of Freedom.”

Children’s bike parade participants should assemble at 8:45 a.m. in front of the village hall, at the intersection of Hassell Road and Huntington Boulevard.

The Celebrations Commission will be accepting donations of nonperishable canned or boxed goods and paper products at their float during the Fourth of July parade. These donations will be used to replenish area township food pantries. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

For information, call the Fourth of July hotline at (847) 252-5446.
