Yates tells her voters to keep the faith

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the citizens who voted for me in the primary, all 6,000 of you.

What a wonderful thing you did for me and I am sorry I let you down. I believed I would be able to win for you with my clear, honest policies and my forthright speaking, but it was not to be.

I am now even more horrified at the actions of Congress. They will go to any lengths to defeat the President and the convoluted thought processes and voting inconsistencies of our representatives in both the House and the Senate take my breath away.

I am sorry I cannot give you a voice and I hope and pray you, the people, remain independent in your thinking and resist the huge money which will be used in the general election in November.

What am I doing now? I am starting a new organization to continue our fight to win back our country and our democracy. I ask you to keep the faith with our President who is trying to look after the people against the small number of multi-billionaires who are trying to control this country.

My love and thanks to you all.

Maureen Yates
