Scouting report: Atlanta Dream at Chicago Sky
Atlanta Dream (7-7) at Chicago Sky (7-5)
When: 5 p.m. today
Where: Allstate Arena
TV: Comcast CN100
Last time: On Friday, the visiting Dream defeated the Tulsa Shock 102-92 and the host Sky lost to the Phoenix Mercury 84-81.
Skinny: It’s Gospel Night, and the Sky, which will host a gospel concert after the game, could use some divine intervention. A loss to Phoenix on Friday extended the Sky’s losing streak to four straight, with all the losses coming since star guard Epiphanny Prince went down with a broken foot on June 16 … This would be a really good time to stop the bleeding as Atlanta sits just 1 game behind the third-place Sky in the Eastern Conference. The Dream has won three games in a row, including Friday’s victory in Tulsa in which a scorching 61 percent of its shots fell and five players scored in double figures. Forward Angel McCoughtry, who leads the WNBA in scoring (22.8 ppg), led the way with 24 points … Particularly troubling in the Sky’s loss to Phoenix was its effort on the boards. Normally, the best rebounding team in the WNBA, the Sky was out-rebounded by 17.
Next: New York Liberty at Chicago Sky, 7:30 p.m. Friday
