Grant Township 2012 queens announced

The winners have been announced for the Grant Township Pageant, held June 22 at Big Hollow Middle School in Ingleside.
The competition featured more than 30 young women from the Grant Township area who competed in four age divisions. The contestants were judged in fair wear, formalwear, prepared speeches and impromptu Q-and-A sessions.
From the Little Miss age group (ages 6-8), Jennie Woodruff was crowned Little Miss Grant Township.
From the Junior Miss age group (ages 9-12), Gabriela Schoenberg was crowned Junior Miss Grant Township.
From the Teen Miss age group (ages 13-15), Jessie Burdett was crowned Teen Miss Grant Township.
Finally, from the Miss age group (ages 16-19), Bethani Jacobsen was crowned Miss Grant Township 2012.
During the evening, Lake County Royalty visited, along with Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Brittani Schisler, who was Miss Grant Township 2007.
Pageant attendees said the evening seemed charged with energy from the full house of family and friends cheering on the contestants.
