It's unfortunate that Stephen DeFillippis in his June 23 letter to the editor has formed an opinion about Bill Foster based on a brief article in the Daily Herald.
If he gets to know Bill Foster, his opinion may change. Foster often says that there are more than 20 levers that all must be in the right position for the economy to work well for everyone. That's not a person who believes in "cure-alls."
Foster has a very nuanced view of this great nation. And If you get to know Bill Foster even a little, most people recognize him to be a moderate not a "liberal."
Foster is a scientist-businessman. He has operated his own business and he understands very well how to promote that vital sector. My regret is that with the redistricting, we no longer live in his congressional district. I would be proud to be represented by Bill Foster in Washington.
