Get your fishing gear and life jackets ready for Wauconda's 7th Annual Kids Derby on Saturday, June 30 starting at 7 a.m. The kids fishing derby is open to boys and girls, ages 4 to 15. Adults must accompany the kids at all times. The derby will take place at the Wauconda Park District Marina, 112 Park St. There will be a free lunch and various prizes that kids can win throughout the day. Entry forms are available at the village hall, 101 N. Main St. No entry fee is required.
