"I liked the limited depth of field that highlighted the poppy pod details.It's such a small subject to photograph and I liked how George focused in on tiny details and used his camera settings to bring them out," Jeff said.

Nearly 100 shutterbugs from throughout the suburbs trekked to Cantigny Gardens in Wheaton to learn tips from Daily Herald photographers and test out their new skills throughout the grounds as part of our newspaper's monthly Subscriber Total Access event. We asked you to share our photos and photo chief Jeff Knox picked his favorite, which was shot by George Renkel.
