Camping World acquires Lee's RV in Oklahoma City

Lincolnshire-based Camping World said it will acquiree Lee's RV Superstore, a dealership in the Oklahoma City area. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

The location will be called Camping World of Oklahoma City and the acquisition closing is scheduled for the end of June.

The current RV dealership, located at 13111 N. Broadway Ext, intersection of Kilpatrick/Turner Turnpike I-44 & I-235, has served the Oklahoma City area for 34 years.

“We believe the continued enhancement of service and sales to local customers will depend on a large established, national organization such as Camping World,” said Lee Litchfield, owner of Lee's RV. “We considered all of the alternatives available for the future of our company and felt that an affiliation with Camping World and Good Sam was the best decision for our family, our employees and our customers.”

Roger Nuttall, president of Camping World RV sales, said the acquisition “is an important strategic fit and it offers us excellent growth opportunities in the south Central region of the U.S.

“Lee's RV has a professional and talented management team and we are pleased to reach this agreement with such a high quality organization. We look forward to the positive sales and earnings contributions the Oklahoma City location will make to our Company in the years ahead,” he added.

With the acquisition, Camping World will have its first RV dealership in Oklahoma. Camping World of Oklahoma City will join the almost 100 other national locations and offer a wide array of RV sales, service, parts and accessories for the outdoor enthusiast. In addition, the new location will have one of the largest RV service capabilities in the area.
