First Midwest Bank names Prame head of retail banking

Itasca-based First Midwest Bank announced Thomas M. Prame has joined the bank as executive vice president and director of retail banking.

“I am very pleased to welcome Thomas to our First Midwest leadership team,” said Mark G. Sander, president and COO of First Midwest Bank. “His extensive retail banking experience is certain to enhance our strong core retail business. His leadership skills and background will be of great value as we look to grow and expand our retail platform and market presence.”

Prame is responsible for First Midwest's retail bank network with around 100 branches. He also will oversee the enhancement, expansion and future development of the bank's retail platform, including sales, products and service delivery as well as strategy development to advance Internet and mobile banking capabilities.

Prior to joining First Midwest, he held senior level retail bank positions with Citigroup, Fifth Third and most recently with RBS Citizens in Boston. He received his MBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame and his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Rochester.

“It is exciting to join the First Midwest team,” said Prame. “First Midwest has a well-deserved reputation as a strong and trusted financial partner, focused on meeting the needs of its clients. The bank is well respected and positioned for long term success, and I look forward to being part of that success,” he said.
