Buy a brick for Hanover Park Veterans Memorial

To help fund the construction of the future Hanover Park Veterans Memorial, officials said the public would be able to honor soldiers by purchasing bricks that will be permanently incorporated into the plaza.

Those prices are now set with order forms ready to go.

Veterans Bricks, to be arranged by military branch, cost $40 and will contain the veteran’s name, rank and conflict or message. Friends of the Village Bricks will be placed in a special public area of the plaza and accommodate six lines of text. They cost $100.

Business Friends of the Village Bricks are $500 or $1,000, depending on the size and whether a logo is used.

Other sponsorship opportunities include service branch medallions for $500, benches for $2,000, service flagpoles for $3,500 and a U.S. flagpole for $4,000.

The veterans memorial will feature a sculpture of an eternal flame and tributes to each of the armed services surrounded by walls, landscaping and places to reflect.
