Geneva Bride and many other Geneva vendors are participating in giving away a wedding and reception on 12-12-12.
From the dress and invitations to the music and reception, it is all included. The winning couple will receive a complete wedding and reception for 125 guests. The wedding ceremony, followed by drinks and appetizers, will be held at the Herrington Inn & Spa, a boutique hotel and spa located along the banks of the Fox River.
A reception will follow at Riverside Receptions, complete with a collaborative dinner from some of Geneva's top chefs.
Geneva is known for its downtown during the holiday season. Fresh greenery and lights, as well as horse drawn carriages, decorate the streets during this festive time.
This package includes everything from bouquets to music, to photographers and more.
In addition to completing the online application form, applicants must visit Geneva and create a 1- to 3-minute video explaining why they are the perfect Geneva wedding couple. The bride and groom must each appear at least once in the video, and it must feature at least one location (not a home) in Geneva.
Videos will be judged based on originality, personality, and the best presentation of Geneva as your ideal wedding location. When you're done, upload your video to YouTube.
The judges will select 12 semifinalists based on which videos show the most originality, the most personality, and the best presentation of Geneva as the ideal wedding location. Semifinalist videos will be posted on the Geneva Wedding 12 website, where visitors will have 12 days to vote for the best video.
The three couples with the most video votes become finalists. Finalists will be interviewed by judges, who will select a grand prize winner based on personality, originality and your presentation of yourself as the ideal Geneva bride and groom.
Submissions will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. July 4. Any submissions received outside of these dates, or any incomplete submissions, will be automatically disqualified.
The applicant couples must be willing and able to get married Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012; live within 75 miles of Geneva; and at least one entrant must have permanent residence near Geneva. Military couples are welcome to apply.
