This is one event not only seeking an audience, but performers as well. The deadline for submitting auditions is 10 p.m. June 30. To audition, submit one song on MP3 to teenservices@stdl.org or submit a link to the Purevolume or YouTube websites.

The library has just two basic requirements for participants in Battle of the Bands: no one over the age of 21 on the day of the concert may participate in the competition, and band members who pass the audition must be available at 5 p.m. July 11 to set up.

For details, contact the library at teenservices@stdl.org or (847) 923-3193.
