Mt. Prospect health fair is Saturday, June 9

The Village of Mount Prospect is holding a health fair from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at John Jay Elementary School, 1835 Pheasant Lane, Mount Prospect.
The fair will have free health screenings by doctors, nurses and chiropractors for adults, children and seniors, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, body mass index calculations, eye exams, scoliosis and flexibility testing, injury screenings, massage therapy and caregiver stress.
Zumba dance for youth and adults and various sports games for children will be part of the fair promoting exercise as a part of a healthy routine.
Local health agencies and care providers will offer information on a variety of health topics, including cancer, tuberculosis, foot health, memory loss, breast-feeding, nutrition, literacy, home preparedness in case of an emergency, mental health, youth programming, domestic violence, and infant-child passenger safety.
