Months late, District 128 pool repairs under way

Work is under way to install new drain equipment at Libertyville High School's swimming pool. The work will bring the pool into compliance with state and federal safety rules.

Seven months after they were supposed to be completed, safety-related repairs to the drain system at Libertyville High School's indoor swimming pool finally are under way. Similar work should begin this week at Vernon Hills High School's pool, too. "We are excited to be nearing the end of our pool compliance journey," District 128 spokeswoman Mary Todoric said in an email.
