  • I headed out to a spot in Naperville where I like to go to at lunchtime to enjoy the weather. I hoped to be able to catch an interesting bird shot. I liked this one because the Seagull was coming in for a landing and had its tail feathers spread open to slow the flight down and the sunlight highlighted that quite nicely. It was taken at noontime on The Lake Walk at Lake Osborne near Aurora Ave.

  • After driving straight through from the Fox Valley to Vero Beach, Florida, my wife and I arrived at South Beach at about 6 a.m. The sun had just come up and it was gorgeous. My wife made it to the water's edge first totally immersed in the moment and I took the picture.
