Palatine Park District Presents Musical Matinee Featuring Bopology

This year's annual Palatine Park District Musical Matinee will feature the swingin' sounds of Bopology. With the power of a big band and all the luxurious intimacy of a small group, Bopology recreates the nostalgia of swing with a tight, polished sound. Numerous years of performing over 100 concerts per year has gained them the reputation of a top swing band in Chicago and the Midwest. From the sounds of the 40's to the music of today, the easily identifiable feel of the Swing Era will be performed live, on-stage by this six piece group. This multi-talented band was established in 1992, playing swing before swing was cool. Featured on WTTW's “Wild Chicago,” the band boasts a lineup of well-known musicians who create an atmosphere that fuses music and dance together for any size crowd.

Bopology will be appearing at 2:00pm on May 8 at Cutting Hall, 150 East Wood Street in Palatine. For your convenience, a shuttle bus from the Community Center parking lot and the Family Aquatic Center parking lot will be available on the day of the show. Tickets are $7 per person, or $6 for ages 55 and over. For more information on this event or to purchase tickets, please contact the Cutting Hall Box Office at (847) 202-5222 or visit www.cuttinghall.org.
