Schneider gets edge on business experience

It’s hard to say who is going to win in the Nov 6 general election for the 10th Congressional District because both candidates, Democrat Brad Schneider and Republican Robert Dold, seem equally qualified, with MBAs from Northwestern University and first-hand experience in business management.

The reason why I say equally qualified is because these achievements and familiarity in the business field significantly supports their main solution in dealing with job employment: more investment and small business growth means more jobs.

Job employment is the No. 1 debated issue, so with that said, it seems as though they are tied for having a similar solution on jobs as well as similar opinions on supporting Medicare and improving education. Although, let me add some points to Schneider.

Schneider’s involvement in business is much higher than Dold’s because he has been a management consultant for 25 years, working personally with small businesses to ensure development. In his biography, he also mentions that he has “owned and managed” a life insurance agency. Working side by side with business and analyzing their problems gives him an independent philosophy on what needs to be done.

In his brief interview with ABC News, Schneider stated that he wants to have a positive campaign against Dold. I hope Schneider will break the incumbency effect and follow his plans of immediate action.
