Attempted child abduction in Glendale Heights

An attempted child abduction was reported Tuesday afternoon in Glendale Heights, authorities said Wednesday.

Two girls told police they were riding their bicycles about 4 p.m. near Fullerton and Amy avenues when they were approached by several teens in a white older model 4-door passenger car with a black door molding stripe. Police said the teens attempted to lure the girls to the vehicle by offering candy.

One of the car’s occupants is described as a white male about 18 years old with short black hair, wearing an earring and a dark hooded sweatshirt. Others in the car were described as white males also about 18 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (630) 260-0078.
