Bulls tipoff

Detroit Pistons at the United Center, 7 p.m.

TV: Comcast SportsNet

Radio: WMVP 1000-AM

Update: The Pistons (18-32) aren’t exactly in playoff position, but they did move into ninth place in the East with Wednesday’s 87-75 victory over Cleveland. They’ve also lost 5 of 7 games, so it’s not exactly a positive trend, though Detroit has leveled out after starting the season 4-20. PG Rodney Stuckey is the top scorer at 16.1 ppg, while second-year C Greg Monroe is playing well at 15.9 points and 9.8 rebounds. SG Ben Gordon sat out against the Cavs because of a groin injury and his status for Friday night is unknown. The Bulls have won 13 straight against the Pistons, including 2 lopsided wins early this season.

Next: Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena, noon, Sunday
