Two people are being sought in the March 24 robbery of a man in unincorporated Aurora Township.
According to a Kane County Sheriff’s Department report, the man was robbed at 8:30 p.m. when he went to visit a woman he was dating in the 200 block of Parkside Avenue.
The victim told deputies that the woman greeted him with a hug. Then he was hit in the back of the head. When he regained consciousness, he realized his pants had been removed, his hands and feet had been bound with electric cords and there was a man standing over him holding a beer bottle, the report said.
Court documents also indicate that the victim was struck with a board as well as the beer bottle.
The man then searched the pants pockets and the victim’s wallet, and demanded more money, the report said. When the man went outside to the victim’s car, the victim asked the woman to release him; she then loosened the cords, and the victim ran to a nearby house and called police.
The report said the victim had a large bump on his head and marks on his ankles and wrists the size consistent with an electric cord. A knotted-up electrical cord was found in the street.
The two took $190, a gold class ring, gold-and-diamond earrings the victim had been wearing, a blue watch and a Kia automobile, the report said.
Warrants have been issued for their arrest on charges of robbery, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, unlawful restraint and motor vehicle theft. The woman has also faces a charge of endangering the life, health and welfare of a child, because there was someone younger than 18 in the house at the time, the report said.Copyright © 2013 Paddock Publications, Inc.
