Guggenheim to move some workers out of Lisle
Guggenheim Partners LLC, a global financial services firm, could be moving a “small amount” of employees out of its Lisle office and into its Chicago headquarters, a spokeswoman said Friday.
Reports on Friday said the company was planning to move out 200 workers and possibly close the Lisle office, but that was “purely speculative,” said Guggenheim spokeswoman Michelle Lee.
“We are not closing the Lisle office and some workers will remain there. No layoffs are planned,” she said.
In 2009, Guggenheim merged with Claymore Group in Lisle and those units included Claymore Securities, Claymore Advisors and Claymore Investments in Canada. By late 2010, Claymore then changed the name of each of those entities to include Guggenheim Funds.
Calls seeking further comment from Guggenheim CEO Mark Walter and Lisle officials were not immediately returned.
