Grayslake’s Pat Carey wins District 6

Lake County Board Member Pat Carey of Grayslake cruised to victory in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.

With all 26 precincts counted, unofficial results show Carey took 809 votes to 134 for Grayslake resident Eric Daniel Lake in county board District 6. Carey will face Grayslake Trustee Jeff Werfel, who was unopposed in the Republican primary, in the November general election.

District 6 covers all of Grayslake and Hainesville, most of Round Lake Park and sections of Round Lake Beach and Third Lake.

Carey said jobs and the local economy are her top issues.
