COD to get fire protection from Lisle-Woodridge
College of DuPage will receive fire protection services from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District, under an agreement approved Thursday by the college’s board of trustees.
After the DuPage County Board approved a separate agreement earlier this week that transfers jurisdictional control of the 273-acre campus from Glen Ellyn to the county, COD had the option of switching fire service providers from the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company if it so chose.
COD President Robert Breuder said there had been discussions with Lisle-Woodridge about location of a fire district substation on campus inside the still-to-be-built campus maintenance center, but that plan won’t happen.
As part of a joint petition with COD, Glenfield Baptist Church, 670 S. Lambert Road, also will be annexed into the Lisle-Woodridge district.
